Established in 1947, Southwestern
Hearing Centers is the oldest hearing instrument dispenser
in the state. Albert Marino joined the organization in 1953
and was followed by his son, Michael Marino (in 1969), who
acquired the company in 1973. Committed to the communities
of St. Louis, Eastern Missouri and Metro-Illinois, Albert
and Michael were jointly nominated by the Better Business
Bureau for the Lenore Sullivan Award. They also have been
cited by Senator John Ashcroft for community involvement.
NU-EAR Electronics has consecutively awarded
Southwestern Hearing Centers the Regional Award of Excellence
for 1991-1993. It also presented the company with the President's
Cup for their dedication to the hearing impaired and for
providing effective, |

ethical service to their patients. The company
also contributes to the NU-EAR foundation by providing hearing
instruments at no charge to those in need. |
