Southwestern Hearing Centers annually participates in continuing education opportunities to further enhance the skills of its professional staff.
Michael S. Marino, B.C.-H.I.S. ACA
Michael is a Board Certified Audioprosthologist licensed in the state of Missouri, and has been distributing hearing instruments since 1967. He is nationally Board Certified in Hearing Instrument Sciences and regularly contributes to The Hearing Instrument Magazine. Michael has been a member of the International Hearing Aid Society since 1973 and is currently a member of the Missouri Hearing Aid Society and the American Audiology Society. In addition to his Missouri license to fit hearing instruments, he holds a State of Missouri Certificate of Authority, allowing him to teach hearing instrument science.
Over the years, Michael has completed countless hours of continued education, and has been a speaker and educator in the industry. He has earned a position on the Advisory Council for Nu-Ear Electronics, a division of Starkey Labs, which he has maintained since 1989. Michael enjoys all facets of the hearing aid industry, and has earned numerous awards in his field.
Cindy Marino Barnett, H.I.S.
Hearing Instrument Specialist
Cindy Marino Barnett is a third generation hearing specialist and has spent her entire life in the hearing industry. She has been with Southwestern Hearing for over 9 years and is a licensed hearing specialist in Missouri. Cindy travels to Minnesota yearly to continue her education and to stay atop the newest and highest levels of technology. Her dedication and determination to improve hearing is unmatched, and makes her an asset to the Southwestern team and the hearing industry.
Growing up in the business, her grandfather, Albert Marino, started the local company in 1947 that was later acquired by her father in 1973. Cindy has the great opportunity to teach and educate our staff, and is in charge of training all Southwestern Hearing Centers specialists.
Matthew T. Scaring, B.C.-H.I.S., B.H.S
Hearing Instrument Specialist
Matthew earned his bachelors in Communications Disorders from the University of Kentucky Lexington in 1995. Upon his graduation, he has dedicated his professional career to helping the hearing impaired. Matthew is thoroughly educated in the clinical disorders of the ear and is also and expert in the latest technological advancements in the hearing industry. Matthew is a Board Certified Hearing Instrument Specialist in Missouri and Illinois. He is also a member of the International Hearing Aid Society, the Missouri Hearing Aid Society, and the American Auditory Society. Matthew is constantly improving his education so he is able to deliver the best quality patient care possible in his field.
Jill Diesman, Au.D.
Audiologist
Jill Diesman has her Doctorate degree in Audiology and a Masters of Speech and Hearing from Washington University, Saint Louis Missouri. She is a member of the Academy of Doctors of Audiology The American Speech and Hearing Association, and Town and Country Chamber of Commerce. Jill is licensed to practice in Missouri and Illinois.

Danny Nelson, B.C.-H.I.S.
Hearing Instrument Specialist
Danny has been distributing hearing instruments since 1992 throughout Missouri and Illinois. He has earned his certificate of Authority as a Registered Supervisor in the state of Missouri. This position is highly recognized by the Hearing Instrument Board of Directors.
Shawn Wilcox, H.I.S.
Hearing Instrument Specialist
Shawn has been practicing hearing instrument distribution in the state of Illinois since 1992, and is a dedicated professional in his field.
Carol Shank, H.I.S.
Hearing Instrument Specialist
Carol has been a Hearing Instrument Specialist since 2003, and is licensed in Missouri.
Jonathan Bushman, H.I.S.
Hearing Instrument Specialist
Jonathan has been with Southwestern Hearing Centers since 2005 and holds a license in the state of Missouri
Christopher T. James, H.I.S.
Hearing Instrument Specialist
Chris graduated from Truman State University, and holds a license in the state of Missouri.
Julie Thibeault, H.I.S.
Hearing Instrument Specialist
Julie brings experience and passion to the Southwestern Hearing team of specialists. Julie is a hearing instrument specialist licensed in the state of Missouri.
Justin Herman H.I.S.
Hearing Instrument Specialist
Justin has his AAS degree, and is certified to dispense hearing aids in MO. Justin thrives on providing excellent hearing care for his patients.
Stan Greenberg H.I.S.
Hearing Instrument Specialist
Stan Greenberg graduated from the University of Missouri/Columbia. He looks at every day at Southwestern Hearing as an opportunity to help people of all ages find ways to hear better and understand more. Every patient he is with is the most important patient of the day.
Les Ham, H.I.S.
Hearing Instrument Specialist
Les began practicing in the hearing industry in 2004 and currently holds a license in the state of Illinois.
